Transition from High School to College.

October 5,2010
Being in High school for four years I have grown accustom to having everything being handed to me in a way. I didn’t have to worry about schedules, what classes I had to take and didn’t have to take. Having a lunch time and knowing what time I had to go and come out. But now starting my first year in college it has become a very big change for me. I had to figure what classes I had to take for myself. I constantly had to make sure if all my financial aid stuff was up to date and had to worry about it being that way because my classes could be cancelled. Also I had to make sure I had enough money to eat or have transportation money to get to class. I had to make sure I had money to pay for my books. It’s been difficult but I am managing to get threw it.

  1. It is tough to manage everything on your own. College is preparing people to become an indepent and better person. To find out which classes you would need to take, I suggest to visit the department of the major you are interested in and ask what classes are needed for you to graduate. In some majors, like nursing, there is actually a format in which the classes should be taken. You can also ask your advisor.- MJ
